Pete Schneider - Executive Director

Pete Schneider was the founder of NIGFBA in 1988.  Pete has been involved in basketball his entire life.  After graduating from Libertyville High School in the 70’s he opened up his own construction business, first doing condo conversions in Chicago then building everything from decks to 12,000 sq. ft homes.  He coached his first team in 1980 and stayed involved in playing locally and coaching.  He has started feeder programs, coached AAU teams, had his own club programs, and provided countless lessons for various programs and privately. Pete coached at Mundelein High School and then Lakes Community High School. Pete’s family shares the same love of the game with both of his kids Dan and Christi, playing and coaching as well. Pete’s wife Andi has helped at every level of Pete’s coaching, from organizing to being there for the moral support, she is the Schneider’s Super Team Mom. While not on the court Pete enjoys fishing and creating in his wood shop.

 Kenny Wickstrom

 Kenny Wickstrom - Director / Webmaster

Kenny has been involved in the feeder program since 2004.  In 2006, he volunteered to revamp the website.  Kenny was appointed to the board in 2008.  Kenny grew up in Indiana, graduated from Purdue University in 1986 with an Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.  He continued his education by earning an MBA in 1998.  His 2 daughters played in the league and in high school.  When you can't find Kenny in a gym, he enjoys motorcycling, outdoor activities and computers.
